Dr. Kennedy joined the Chemistry Department in July of 2012. At UC Irvine, Dr. Kennedy worked toward the synthesis of the anticancer polyketide, spirastrellolide A, under Professor A. Richard Chamberlin. After obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Kennedy contributed to the development of environmentally responsible palladium catalyzed reaction methods while working in the laboratory of Professor Gary A. Molander.
